About Me
I was born and raised in Katha, a small town in upper Myanmar where sports were not widely encouraged. Despite this, I developed a strong passion for basketball during my high school years. That passion led me to proudly represent Myanmar as a national women’s basketball player, competing in the Southeast Asian Games in 2011 (Indonesia), 2017 (Malaysia), and 2019 (Philippines), where I unfortunately suffered a knee injury.
I hold a B.A. in Economics and have earned a Level 2 Basketball Coaching Certificate from FIBA. My teaching journey began in 2013 as a PE teacher at ILBC, and I later coached university teams at Dagon University and Yangon University of Technology (YUT) in 2019–2020.
In 2024, I organized and led a 10-day basketball and well-being camp for children in Popa Ywar, combining physical training with life skills and mental health education—one of the most meaningful experiences in my career.
Beyond teaching and coaching, I find joy and peace in hiking and reading. I spend most of my holidays on mountaintops, believing deeply that “I read by traveling, and I travel by reading.“
I truly hope to continue growing as an educator and coach and one day, I wish to do even more for children all around this country, helping them find strength, confidence, and opportunity through sports and education.
Area of Special Interest
As a former point guard (PG), I was trained to lead, communicate, and make quick decisions skills that continue to shape my approach as an educator and coach. I thrive on challenges and am always eager to learn and grow.
My greatest passion lies in motivating students and empowering them through sports and education. I am especially committed to volunteering for children’s well-being and advocating for equal access to quality education across the country.
