About Me
With over 11 years of experience as a dedicated computer teacher, including the last seven here at MISY, I’ve witnessed firsthand how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become an integral part of our daily lives, workplaces, and education systems. I firmly believe that integrating ICT meaningfully into schools is essential, and that equipping students with strong digital skills is a fundamental responsibility for educators today. Beyond the core curriculum, I’m passionate about developing practical skills in robotics and 3D modeling. This passion extends to my work coordinating the school’s 3D modeling after-school activities and developing robotics classes that are now embedded within both our regular curriculum and our out-of-school hours program.
Area of Special Interest
Developing programmes of learning activities, planning, preparing and researching lessons for Special Education Needs
Work with individuals who have physical disabilities, sensory impairments (i.e. hearing or visual), speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, conditions such as autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, or have a combination of these difficulties.
My passion extends deeply into the practical application of technology, particularly 3D design, printing, and model creation. I find immense satisfaction in the entire process from initial concept sketching through digital modeling to finally holding a physical, printed object. This hands-on experience directly informs my teaching. Furthermore, I’m actively involved in competitive robotics. A major focus for our team is preparing to compete on the global stage, with participation in prestigious international events like the World Robot Olympiad being a key strategic goal we’re actively working towards. Guiding students through these complex challenges is incredibly rewarding.
