About Me

I was born and brought up in Pakistan. I have a bachelor’s degree in Media Sciences (Advertising) along with a certification and a diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from Finland. With over 8 years of teaching Early Years in International schools in Pakistan, DR Congo and Saudi Arabia, this is my 3rd year at Myanmar International School Yangon to work as an Early Years Teacher and my 1st year to be Head of Pastoral Care and Wellbeing (Primary). To enhance my teaching experience, I did TEFL certification to understand the students who come from non-English speaking backgrounds and currently I am pursuing a Masters in Education (Early Years and SEN). Other than teaching, I enjoy digital marketing, designing, cooking, painting, swimming and listening to music.

Area of Special Interest

As an early year’s teacher, I am interested in improvising all learning areas of a child’s well-being. I enjoy working outdoors with my students and I love embracing play in learning. In my former school, I did a certification in forest school (level 1) which gave me confidence to work with students beyond the walls of a classroom.
