I am a passionate and dedicated educator with over ten years of experience in teaching young learners. I hold a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and have continued my professional growth through postgraduate studies in English and marketing management, as well as specialized training in early childhood education and leadership. I take great pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel encouraged, confident, and motivated to achieve their potential. I believe that every child is unique and deserves to be guided with patience, love and purpose.

I am particularly interested in English Language Development and early literacy. I also enjoy teaching foundational math concepts and aims to make abstract ideas accessible and engaging for young learners.

I have over ten years of teaching experience. I worked as a grammar teacher at Super Kid English Language Centre from 2015 to 2017. Since then, I have been working as a freelance teacher for students from young learners following the  international curriculum.

About Me

I was born and brought up in Pakistan. I have a bachelor’s degree in Media Sciences (Advertising) along with a certification and a diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from Finland. With over 8 years of teaching Early Years in International schools in Pakistan, DR Congo and Saudi Arabia, this is my 3rd year at Myanmar International School Yangon to work as an Early Years Teacher and my 1st year to be Head of Pastoral Care and Wellbeing (Primary).To enhance my teaching experience, I did TEFL certification to understand the students better who come from non-English speaking background and currently I am pursuing a Masters in Education (Early Years and SEN). Other than teaching, I enjoy digital marketing, designing, cooking, painting, swimming and listening to the music.

I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Yangon, Myanmar. After successfully passing the matriculation exam in the 2019–2020 academic year, I joined the English Language Program at the American Center. This program helped me improve my communication and learning skills while giving me exposure to an interactive and engaging learning environment. I completed a Higher Diploma in Business Management at TMC Academy in Singapore, which strengthened my academic and organizational skills. During this time, I also volunteered as a teacher at a private school, caring for and teaching nursery children. This experience sparked my interest in early childhood education and gave me a deep sense of fulfillment.

Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at the University of Sunderland, further expanding my academic foundation and career opportunities. I believe that combining my business knowledge with my teaching experience gives me a well-rounded perspective for future professional growth.

About Me

Growing up in the captivating landscapes of Indonesia, I have nurtured a profound appreciation for nature and its wonders. My teaching journey commenced in 2005, and over the years, I have had the privilege to educate within International Baccalaureate and Cambridge schools across Jakarta, Indonesia, teaching aged 5 to 12 years old students. About Me

I was born in York in the north of England and gained my degree in Modern Foreign Languages at Newcastle University. After working for a year for an international company I decided to complete my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and I moved to Myanmar in 2013. I had visited Myanmar every summer between 2007 and 2013 so I knew what a wonderful country I was coming to. I have worked in a language school and two international/private schools in Yangon and this is my 5th year at MISY having completed my PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) at Sheffield Hallam University in 2021. I am married with two daughters and we are honoured to call Myanmar our home. When I’m not working, I enjoy swimming, volunteering with young people, reading and cooking.

About Me

This will be my fourth year with the primary team at MISY. I have been teaching for twelve years, starting out as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in my home town of Brighton in the south of England, and then training as a Primary school teacher in 2016. I have been teaching in Yangon for about seven years.
Originally trained as a professional dancer, I enjoy contemporary dance classes and going to the gym. I also enjoy studying Myanmar language and travelling around Myanmar when I get the chance

I have a keen interest in Literacy and inclusion; developing the reading and writing skills of children with English as a second language, learning difficulties or any other barriers. During my Master’s Degree, I looked in depth at inclusive education in Thailand and Myanmar, with a focus on educational approaches that see the use of the mother-tongue as one of the best ways to support Literacy development. I also carried out research into how dialogic and cooperative learning can include and support learners from various social, economic, religious, cultural and language backgrounds, which has informed my approach to teaching and learning.

I have been a teaching assistant at MISY for 17 years. Prior to that, I taught Japanese Language at Myanmar Sakura Japanese Language Centre.

For the past 12 years, I have been living and teaching in Myanmar, with 10 of those years spent at MISY. My name is Eric Snow, and I’m originally from the United States. I’ve been teaching across Asia for over ten years, including in Thailand and Vietnam. I joined MISY in 2013 and am currently serving in my 12th year as the Head of the Mathematics and Computing Departments. In this leadership role, I oversee curriculum development, staff coordination, and academic planning across both departments. I also teach IGCSE and A Level Mathematics, helping students build a strong foundation in analytical thinking and preparing them for Cambridge international examinations.

In addition to my departmental responsibilities, I serve as a homeroom teacher for senior students. As part of this role, I also teach PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) lessons, supporting students’ personal development and well-being while preparing them for life beyond school. I have also provided university counseling for several years, guiding students through the application process and helping them make informed decisions about their future education.

Beyond the classroom, I have made significant contributions to the broader school community. I have organized and led multiple Week Without Walls trips and overseas educational tours. Over the past seven years, I organized two cultural exchange programs to Japan, where students engaged in immersive homestay experiences and developed a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.

As an Executive Member of the PTA, I work actively to maintain a strong and supportive relationship between the school and parents. I regularly assist at school events by presenting the Myanmar-language version of talks and presentations to help ensure all parents are able to engage fully with the content.

Prior to joining MISY, I spent ten years teaching Mathematics and Statistics at the college and university level in the United States. During that time, I participated in numerous mathematics conferences and led educational workshop presentations at both local conferences and high schools.

I began my journey as an educator in 2020 teaching at a convent school in India. My love for teaching developed exponentially after that. I am fortunate enough to have experienced multiple curriculums including IB, Cambridge and Edexcel. I am originally from Cagayan, Philippines, where Ilocano is the predominant language—just one of the country’s 185 recognized vernaculars. I earned my degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila in 2002 and became a licensed chemical engineer after passing the board examination in 2005.

After two years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a plastic compounding company, I decided to pursue my passion for teaching. In 2007, I completed teacher qualification programs and passed the licensure examination for teachers the following year. I began my teaching career at St. Mary’s Academy of Caloocan City, where I taught Mathematics and Chemistry. After four years, I sought a more dynamic and enriching academic environment abroad.

My first overseas teaching experience was in 2011 at MCTA: RvI Academy in Mandalay, where I taught Mathematics, Chemistry, and English. In 2012, I joined MISY, continuing to teach both Mathematics and Chemistry. Currently, I specialize in teaching IGCSE and AS Level Chemistry, along with some KS3 Science classes.

I find it truly fascinating how understanding the underlying chemistry and mathematics allows me to see the environment in a deeper, more meaningful way. I hope to inspire my students to develop the same curiosity and appreciation in their own learning journey.

I have worked in the Education field for many years and I still regard myself as lucky to have found a field that is so rewarding to work in. Prior to the pandemic, I was working at a British International School in Shanghai as a science teacher.
