EARCOS

The East Asia Regional Council of Schools is an organization established in 1958, and since then, it has worked to build learning and leadership capacity in international schools in Asia.

EARCOS Member School

In August 2025, MISY Yangon campus became a member school of EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools). As a member, the school, teachers, and students will benefit from a globally connected education.

EARCOS membership provides

This membership provides MISY Yangon with a dynamic learning environment that prepares students to succeed in a globalized world.

EARCOS focuses on building an inclusive community of learners, and it currently has 229 member schools in East Asia. These schools have a total of more than 190,908 pre-K to 12th-grade students. EARCOS also has 155 associate member textbook and software publishers and distributors, universities, financial planners, architectural firms, insurance companies, youth organizations, etc, and 44 individual members.

Cambridge Assessment International Education

MISY Yangon has been a registered Cambridge International School and examination center since 2010, while MISY Mandalay became a registered Cambridge school in 2022.

Cambridge Curriculum

At MISY, we offer Cambridge IGCSE for learners aged 14 to 16, and Cambridge International AS & A Levels for those aged 16 to 19. These advanced qualifications are designed to prepare students for university and higher education.

The Cambridge Curriculum is internationally recognized for its rigorous and comprehensive educational framework. It’s designed to prepare students for success in a global environment, giving them the tools they need to thrive both academically and socially.

Cambridge qualifications are highly valued and recognized by universities worldwide, including in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and many other countries. In the US alone, over 1,000 universities—including all Ivy League institutions—formally accept Cambridge International AS & A Levels. In the UK, all universities accept Cambridge qualifications as valid credentials.

WiDA

Students who arrive at MISY with limited English are required to take additional English classes as part of their school day until their level of English improves. We assess their English level using WIDA tests.
