Admissions English Version

Information About The Admissions Process

MISY welcomes students of all nationalities, backgrounds, and religions. Through the interview process, students need to demonstrate that they are enthusiastic about the school’s mission to make positive contributions to Myanmar and the wider world. Successful students also show that they will be able to thrive within the rigorous academic atmosphere which is a hallmark of our school.

The school has a highly regarded English as an Additional Language (EAL) support programme for students who are English Language learners; however, an age-appropriate proficiency in written and spoken English is, in most cases, a requirement for admission into the Secondary School.

MISY is proud that our Learning Centre @ MISY can provide additional support for students who follow an adapted curriculum.

Admission for the early years (Nursery, Reception, Year 1) is normally based on the child’s age. Admission to Year 2–13 is based on age, placement examinations, and an interview with the School Heads or senior staff.

Interested applicants should download the “Student Enrollment Form” linked below. All admissions queries by email should be sent to admission.ygn@misy.edu.mm
