Myanmar International School Yangon was originally established in 2009 with the aim of investing in responsible, innovative and compassionate world citizens.

This vision has been the driving force behind the growth and development of one of the most well established and highly respected International schools in the country.

MISY has a reputation for providing high quality education and this has been endorsed by the Council of International Schools (CIS). As a global membership community of schools and higher education institutions, CIS represents schools who are internationally minded and meet rigorous standards. We have been awarded full accreditation with the organisation, making us the first and only school in Myanmar to have been recognised in this way. I have been proud to serve as the Head of School at MISY since 2021 and, as we continue to the journey of school improvement, I remain passionate about the importance of education for the young people of Myanmar, committed to the MISY community and inspired by all of our students as they strive to embrace the values of the school.
