About Me
As a UK-qualified teacher (QTS) from the South-East of England, I bring 15 years of teaching experience. For the past 12 years, I have been living and teaching in Myanmar, with 10 of those years spent at MISY. My time at MISY has been diverse, involving work in the EAL department, teaching across Years 3, 4, 5, and 6, and serving as the Head of Key Stage 2.
Area of Special Interest
I believe that literacy and language fluency underpin learning across all subjects. This conviction, shaped by my background in both EAL and mainstream teaching, drives me to create a language-rich classroom where students are empowered to articulate their ideas with confidence.
This same principle of empowerment guides my approach to technology. I am passionate about blending the best of the old and the new, pairing timeless techniques like hands-on experiments and debate with modern digital tools. My ultimate goal is to use technology to unlock creativity, making learning a more dynamic and accessible experience for every child.
