About Me

I am originally from Cagayan, Philippines, where Ilocano is the predominant language—just one of the country’s 185 recognized vernaculars. I earned my degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila in 2002 and became a licensed chemical engineer after passing the board examination in 2005.

After two years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a plastic compounding company, I decided to pursue my passion for teaching. In 2007, I completed teacher qualification programs and passed the licensure examination for teachers the following year. I began my teaching career at St. Mary’s Academy of Caloocan City, where I taught Mathematics and Chemistry. After four years, I sought a more dynamic and enriching academic environment abroad.

My first overseas teaching experience was in 2011 at MCTA: RvI Academy in Mandalay, where I taught Mathematics, Chemistry, and English. In 2012, I joined MISY, continuing to teach both Mathematics and Chemistry. Currently, I specialize in teaching IGCSE and AS Level Chemistry, along with some KS3 Science classes.

Area of Special Interest

Chemistry and Mathematics.

I find it truly fascinating how understanding the underlying chemistry and mathematics allows me to see the environment in a deeper, more meaningful way. I hope to inspire my students to develop the same curiosity and appreciation in their own learning journey.
