About Me
Born in London England, raised in Toronto Canada, married to an American and a citizen of the world.
Reading is one of my favorite pastimes and a hobby I encourage my students to enjoy too! Diving into a deep thriller with a cup of coffee and my cats is a typical Sunday for me but you may also catch me enjoying some Myanmar tea and lapeh at a local shop.
Area of Special Interest
Professionally I am an English Teacher; however, I have experience teaching Global Perspectives, Science, Math, Personal Social Health Education and Digital Literacy. I have held leadership positions including Head of English, Key Stage Leader and Teacher Trainer.
I have worked for NGO schools and volunteered in several organizations connected to children and animals. Through these life changing experiences, I can say I am a true believer in sharing our kindness across the globe as far as possible.
Education
I was able to earn my B.A in Finance from Toronto, Canada and worked with leading global banks for 10 years. I have completed a: Diploma in Teaching and Education, Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education and am completing my B.E.d by the end of this year.
I truly believe a teacher must always stay current and updated in the education field.
Experience
I began teaching English as a Second Language in Thailand after working in the financial industry in Toronto, Canada as a Bank Manager for HSBC bank. Since then I have been working with reputable International Schools in various countries including Tanzania, Uganda, Indonesia and Myanmar, all while learning more about the beautiful world we live in.
As a teacher I have a holistic approach to teaching, creating lifelong learners who value education and seek knowledge willingly.
