About Me
As some members of the MISY community may already know, I am originally from Manchester, England. After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, I spent several years travelling in the United States whilst working as a football coach. Upon returning to the UK, I completed my PGCE in Applied Art and Design at Edge Hill University, followed by a rewarding NQT year at Wilmslow High School in Cheshire.
Shortly after, I was given the opportunity to join Myanmar International School Yangon, where I spent six very special years. Following my time in Yangon, I moved to Thailand to experience teaching in another vibrant and diverse international community. Now, back where my Southeast Asia journey began, I am commencing my eighth year with MISY in my role as the Head of Expressive Arts.
Area of Special Interest

Specialising in fine art, painting and related media, as well as mixed media and digital processes. With ten years experience in art and design education, it continues to be wonderful to see how senior students evolve and find their own creative voice and styles within their artwork. As well as a passion for creativity, a rewarding and fulfilling part of my teaching role over the years has been being able to offer ASAs, specifically football with some of our talented athletes. Working in these two contrasting capacities also brings different dynamics to the teaching role.
