About Me

With more than 43 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working in leading international schools across Australia and South East Asia. Throughout my career I have served in a wide variety of leadership roles, including K–12 Principal, Secondary Principal, IB Diploma Coordinator, Head of Humanities, Theory of Knowledge Coordinator, CAS Coordinator, and Geography Subject Leader.

I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, develop global perspectives, and become confident lifelong learners. My teaching philosophy focuses on building positive relationships, encouraging curiosity, and helping every student achieve their full potential both academically and personally. Outside the classroom, I enjoy contributing to sports, outdoor education, community service projects, music, and creative activities that enrich school life.

Area of Special Interest

My specialist area is Geography, Humanities and Global Perspectives, particularly within the Cambridge programme. I have extensive experience teaching Geography and Global Perspectives from lower secondary through to IGCSE, A Level.

I have a strong interest in educational leadership, literacy development, university and career guidance, and experiential learning through outdoor education and service programmes. Throughout my career I have helped develop international-minded students by leading CAS programmes, Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essays, Duke of Edinburgh Award initiatives, and community service projects across Asia.
