About Me

My name is Su Mon Phyo , although many people know me by my childhood nickname, Sweet. I hold an Honours Degree, a Master’s degree, and a Master of Research (M.Res.) in Library and Information Studies from the University of East Yangon. Before becoming a librarian, I gained four years of experience in a media company and two years of experience at a preschool, which strengthened my communication and organizational skills.

I earned a Certificate in Human Resource Development (CHRD) from the Yangon University of Foreign Languages. I also completed training in Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), along with several other certificates. From August 2018 to July 2026, I worked as a librarian at Thalun International School in Yangon, where I developed expertise in library management, information services, and collection development.

In May 2025, I got married. In my free time, I enjoy reading, travelling, and listening to music. I am excited to continue my professional journey at MISY, where I hope to contribute my knowledge, experience, and passion for library services.

Area of Special Interest

My dream is to become an excellent librarian who helps people access knowledge and information. I believe a library is more than a place to store books. I believe a library is more than a place to store books. It is a place for learning and discover. I enjoy guiding users to reliable resources and supporting their academic and personal development. I am especially interested in promoting reading habits, improving library services, and creating a welcoming environment for students and teachers.
