About Me
I am a professionally trained nurse with a comprehensive background in clinical practice, nursing education, and healthcare management. My nursing career commenced as a staff nurse in a private hospital, where I developed core clinical competencies and gained valuable frontline experience. I subsequently served as a trained nurse in a government hospital, which further deepened my clinical knowledge and broadened my exposure to public health systems.
With a strong interest in nursing education, I transitioned to an academic role as an instructor at the University of Nursing, Yangon, where I was involved in teaching, curriculum development, and the academic mentoring of undergraduate nursing students. This experience enhanced my understanding of evidence-based practice and pedagogical approaches in health education.
I have also served as a school nurse at Kings Yangon International School, where I was responsible for delivering primary health care services, managing school-based health programs, and promoting student wellness within an international school setting.
Currently, I am employed as a Junior Health Care Manager at Myanmar International School Yangon (MISY), where I oversee health service delivery, implement health and safety protocols, and contribute to the development of school health policies.
My professional experiences across clinical, academic, and institutional settings have enabled me to contribute effectively to the advancement of nursing practice and healthcare education in Myanmar.
Area of Special Interest
My professional and academic interests lie in the fields of clinical nursing practice, nursing education, and healthcare management. I am particularly interested in the development and delivery of evidence-based patient care, as well as the design and implementation of nursing curricula that promote critical thinking and clinical competence. I have a strong commitment to advancing school health services, with a focus on child health promotion and preventive care within educational settings. Additionally, I am interested in public health and community-based nursing initiatives that aim to improve access to care and health outcomes at the population level. My current role has further deepened my interest in healthcare management and policy development, especially in the context of institutional health systems. I am also passionate about professional development and mentorship, and I strive to contribute to the growth and leadership capacity of the next generation of nursing professionals.
